Sculptra (2×5 ml) is a PLLA-based injectable biostimulator developed for collagen stimulation, facial volume restoration, and improvement of skin laxity. Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid fillers that provide immediate gel-based volume, Sculptra works gradually by helping stimulate the skin’s own collagen production.
The formula contains microparticles of poly-L-lactic acid, a biocompatible and biodegradable synthetic polymer. Official product information also lists sodium carboxymethylcellulose and non-pyrogenic mannitol as part of the formulation. Sculptra is supplied as a sterile dry powder and must be reconstituted before use to form an injectable suspension.
Sculptra is best suited for facial volume loss, skin laxity, cheeks, temples, jawline, and broader facial rejuvenation. It is not intended for lips, tear trough, superficial fine lines, or areas where immediate soft filling is required. This product should only be used by trained aesthetic professionals.
